Acrylic on Wood Panel 13"x13"
The Marakame embodies the spirit of Kayumari, the blue deer, who shares his energy with us. In his sacred pilgrimage, he stops at the sacred sites, giving offerings and praying to spirit.
He prays for water to come and feed the desert, his community, and grandfather Hikuri. In the last spot, the last stop, he sits to pray and give offerings when tiredness catches up, and he dreams a vision: Water floods his surroundings, and the desert comes to live.
Prayers lifted in a warm summer night. The deer tribe gathers around the fire, visions emerge, and melt the horizon. Dances and songs, the drum and the rattle, men and women intertwined in harmonious ceremony.
A vision dreamed months before is then manifested. Heart opening, vision giving, and energy realigning; chocoyotito, a beautiful concoction of ancestral medicines, sweetens up the sacred rite and guides the tribe through the fire.
Stories are told, family is created, and lives are changed in an unforgettable night of prayer.

Jungle Journey
Acrylic on Wood Panel · 16 × 16 in
Awareness through food, awareness through breath, awareness of the mind, awareness of the soul, and awareness of everything.

Acrylic on Wood Panel 16"x16"
Awareness through food, awareness through breath, awareness of the mind, awareness of the soul, and awareness of everything. Five levels of awareness; three physical and two non-physical.
In this jungle journey, consciousness embodies the monkey mind hungry for fruit nutrition; it takes the shape of the trees and listens to their language carried by the wind that becomes breath. It becomes the mind that we forget is part of our physical body; rambling with thoughts and sensations, discomfort, and bliss.
In the jungle, consciousness is given space to play outside of body limitations, meeting for the first time face to face with the soul. Perceived by physical receptors but impossible to describe or be put into words. Souls play together and dance inside the Maloca.
And then everything melts, consciousness can't tell up or down, can't tell death or life, can't tell this dimension from the next. Telepathic communication opens with beings outside of its gaze. And it feels part of everything. It feels like it belongs. It begins to understand.
The jungle guardians watch and protect the whole process, as the serpent energy rises from the base of the spine. Parallel dimensions open up and split our awareness. The fire is burning brighter than ever.

Spirited Revolution

Acrylic on Wood Panel 28"x28"
In a time when the world needs it the most, the Spirited Rebel Soldier comes from deep inside the Universe's psyche. A reflection of a time when Mexican revolutionary soldiers grew their mustaches thick, proudly wore giant sombreros; but most importantly, fought the powers at be for a better future.
The eagle and condor spirits float around him, uniting the wisdom and light of the North American traditions with the warm heart love of the South, in an aura that infects even the hardest of human shells.
This embodiment of revolution fights with a happy spirit, excited to be a part of it. With his plant allies, he elevates to higher dimensions in order to see the bigger picture.
Using the seeds of consciousness as his primary munition, he plants higher thoughts in the minds of brave rebels who fight in this dimension.
"Con Semilla," his belt repeats as a plea for the food monopolies to keep the seed in the fruit. To keep nature in our diet.
Rainbow warrior, ganja smoker, Mushroom King; persist and resist in this fight!

It's All Love
Acrylic on Canvas · 16 × 20 in
These magical light beings are here to teach us that everything is love.

Acrylic on Canvas 16"x20"
Three different archetypes of people in my life are depicted. These magical light beings are here to teach us that everything is love. Our bad decisions, our good decisions; our jealousies and envies; our caring and hating; it all comes from a place of love.
The light beings represent our soul form. Their magic hats, are a creature representing each of their egos; constantly feeding on them.
The light beings have to stay in control as to not be consumed by them and instead use them as a tool.

Inside Realization
Acrylic on Canvas · 8 × 10 in
Inside Realization is inspired in the inherent knowledge that everyone carries within themselves.
Read the artist's story
Acrylic on Canvas 8"x10"
Inside Realization is inspired in the inherent knowledge that everyone carries within themselves, and the realization of it through entheogen experience.
It is my depiction of everyone's inner shaman, of the duality we carry inside, and of the millennia of information that is accessible to all of us in our genetic code.
The shaman archetype is melting into a reality where he becomes all there is, through this experience he learns the feeling of unity and connection.
